Set in magnificent gardens just three miles from Cambridge city centre, the University of Cambridge’s Madingley Hall is a beautiful 16th century country house with all the modern amenities, catering and accommodation, including wi-fi throughout.
Cambridge itself is less than an hour from London by train from Kings Cross. There are also hourly coaches from London’s Heathrow airport to Cambridge and London’s Stansted Airport, serviced by several main European hubs, is also only 40 minutes away (see directions below).

Directions to Madingley Hall
From Heathrow:
Either -
Take coach 787 to Cambridge from the Central Bus Station, Terminal 4 or Terminal 5 (approx 3 hours). Upon arrival at Cambridge Parker’s Piece, take a taxi to Madingley Hall (approx 10 minutes).
Or -
Take Piccadilly line underground to King’s Cross St. Pancras (approx 1 hour). From King’s Cross take main line train to Cambridge (approx 50 minutes). Upon arrival at Cambridge station, take a taxi to Madingley Hall (approx 10 minutes)
Or -
Take the Heathrow Express to London Paddington Station (approx 20 minutes). From Paddington take the eastbound Circle or Hammersmith & City underground to King’s Cross St. Pancras (approx 15 minutes). From King’s Cross take main line train to Cambridge (approx 50 minutes). Upon arrival at Cambridge station, take a taxi to Madingley Hall (approx 10 minutes)
From Gatwick:
Either -
Take coach 787 to Cambridge (via Heathrow) from North or South Terminal bus station (approx 4 hours). Upon arrival at Cambridge Parker’s Piece, take a taxi to Madingley Hall (approx 10 minutes).
Or -
Take Gatwick Express train to Victoria (approx 30 minutes). Then Victoria line underground to King’s Cross St. Pancras. From King’s Cross take main line train to Cambridge (approx 50 minutes). Upon arrival at Cambridge station, take a taxi to Madingley Hall (approx 10 minutes).
From Stansted:
Take taxi to Madingley Hall (approx 40 minutes).
From Central London:
Take underground or bus to King’s Cross St. Pancras. From King’s Cross take main line train to Cambridge (approx 50 minutes). Upon arrival at Cambridge station, take a taxi to Madingley Hall (approx 10 minutes).
